Recently my elderly mother was hospitalized on 2 North. I have been a nurse for over 40 years. Nurses watch closely when others care for our loved ones. I was impressed overall by the excellent nursing care my mother received on 2 North. Her primary nurse, Leslie Muff, is an excellent clinician. She is passionate about delivering optimal nursing care. She is professional, compassionate, and detail oriented. She listened closely to my mother’s requests and also met needs not expressed by words. I felt I could leave my mother’s bedside knowing she was being care for by “the best”. I cannot speak highly enough about the care she received from Leslie. She exemplifies the Good Samaritan Philosophy of providing the highest quality of patient care and deserves the DAISY Award.
