First, let me start by saying, thank you Mac, for being compassionate, caring and understanding in my time of need.
I knew when I met Mac he was special or as you say, extraordinary. Today has not been a good day for me at all. I am not only in pain but my body aches all over the place and my medication is not working for me at all. My pain goes from a ten, to a five or six and just stays there. I was going to check out AMA last night but Mac, along with a few more outstanding nurses, talked me out of it. Thank God they did because if went home, I would have been crying non-stop and being mean to everybody for no reason at all, just because I didn’t feel good.
When Mac, who is my charge nurse, met me he was like an Angel sent from the heavens that blessed me and kept me strong. Mac made a big impact on me and I really appreciate the advice and respect he gave me. Mac is a remarkable nurse and a role model who demonstrates excellence through his expertise. Mac is well deserving of a DAISY Award.
