Marsha is very deserving of the award according to the family that nominated her.
“Marsha cared for our son Ryan in the PACU in November 2010 following a traumatic farm accident that resulted in an above the knee amputation. While in the PACU, Ryan kept having vivid recall of the accident – replaying it over and over again in his mind. He was still overwhelmed with emotion. Marsha stayed by his side like a Sentry. The care and compassion she expressed towards Ryan was genuine and from the heart just as the DAISY award describes the Healer. It gives me great comfort to know that Marsha would provide this same level of care to every patient she cares for in the PACU. Nurses in the PCAU are with the patient for a very short period of time – but what a very important time for our patients! As a mom and a professional at Sanford, I couldn’t be more pleased with the care Marsh provided”
Thank you Marsha, for making a real difference for Sanford patients. Congrats!
