Nay has been an amazing addition to the Sepsis Unit and she continues to shine. Every shift, she comes to work with a positive attitude, ready to care for her patients and their families. I have received numerous compliments from staff, patients and family about how great Nay is. Being that Nay is bilingual, she has connected with our Spanish speaking population, making them feel like her own family member. Just recently, I had a patient and her husband tell me how great Nay was, she was very compassionate, pays attention to detail and kept the patient and her husband informed of every procedure and the plan of care.
Nay not only provides exceptional patient care but has become a leader on the unit. She is a preceptor to new grads and new hires and she recently became cross-trained as Relief Charge Nurse, where she has tackled a couple difficult shifts like a champ. Nay is a voting member of the sepsis Care Delivery Council and is also working on her Clin Ill project to reduce restraint usage on the unit. She has demonstrated a commitment to St. Jude and practices the values of Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence, and Integrity in her everyday nursing care.
