Nitza's colleagues informed us the she works extensively with patients, families, doctors and liaisons, to affect satisfying discharge plans, often working long past her scheduled hours.
Recently, she worked with a family to explore alternatives and went to the attending physician to advocate for a patient to transition from nursing home to home hospice care.
She is knowledgeable, has diverse clinical experience and offers holistic care. She has been seen sharing a prayer with her patient.
She is identified as a team player who always has a smile and frequently treats the SSU staff to bagels and coffee. Her generosity was noted at Christmas, when she gave a laptop to the daughter of a colleague who developed a serious illness. Congratulations Nitza!!!
