Christine Nabo came to the United States in 2000 where she launched a career in rehabilitation at St Agnes Hospital and Lake View Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. In 2005, she moved to sunny San Diego and joined the illustrious team of professionals at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego on the Oncology unit. To her co-workers Christine comes across as a quiet and somewhat shy individual. Patients appreciate this attribute and acknowledge her as caring, compassionate nurse who listens to them. Christine has received numerous Bravo Awards where patients recount how she is completely present when she attends to their needs, helping them to feel important- as if they are her only patient. She is truly a dedicated oncology nurse who consistently reflects the core values of Scripps Mercy Hospital in her approach with patients and their family members. We are truly fortunate to name Christine Nabo as the DAISY Award recipient.
