Heidi is an amazing nurse for a variety of reasons, but the most incredible quality that I have seen if how passionately and fearlessly she fights for her patients. If she believes any patient is getting something less than the highest quality of care, she will call and fight and persevere until the doctors, social workers or therapist start listening to her alternatives. Not to say she is hard headed or stiff in her beliefs, but she expects other health care workers to take the time and be sure that what they ordering is actually necessary and will directly benefit the patient. Heidi does this without being hesitant, embarrassed or easily placated. This is not a quality that I have seen exemplified in many nurses. She is also very respectful when she is being disrespected, undoubtedly a hard thing to do yet she does it with grace. Additionally, her attention to detail and the ability to logically think through orders on multiple occasions spared a patient from harm and any additional unnecessary testing. Her compassion for her patients and her determination makes her an outstanding nurse.

She is amazing. I just love her personality and beautiful smile. If asked she will go out of her way for you and takes good care of her patients. We need more like her!
