Dawn was nominated for the DAISY Award this month by no fewer than three people. Two of her peers independently nominated her for the amazing work she is doing to ensure the medical center can provide safe, effective and humane treatment for alcohol withdrawal. We also received a wonderful letter from the family of one of her patients. The letter described, "Dawn cared for our family member and the entire family, answering endless questions with patience and compassion. If we asked for her she was there immediately with a kind smile and the information we needed to ease our worry. She was honest with us about the seriousness of the situation but always left us with hope. For these reasons and many more, we are asking that Dawn be recognized for the DAISY Award".
