At discharge, we had concerns and Marcela listened closely and heard them all. She noticed that there was a medication missing from the discharge med list that was needed. She reached out to the doctor on my dad's behalf. She looked at the chart and realized there were some serious safety issues. She shared these safety concerns with the providers, even after discharge. Because of her, the doctors decided to call us and have my father readmitted which saved his life. My father stayed for a few more days and was well cared for and is on the mend. If it had not been for the diligence, justice, compassion, integrity and quality care that Marcela provided, things would be very different. Marcela is not only respected by us but her peers also. We told everyone we could about how impressed we were with her and everyone agreed that she is amazing.
