Gavin was one of the first people we met at Aspirus. My mom is 87 and was so nervous about being there and not knowing what lay ahead. He made her laugh daily. Gavin checked on her often. He made us feel like nothing was too trivial to ask. He explained anything we didn't understand. He went over and above nursing duties. When Gavin left before vacation, he stopped in to say bye and wish us well. He made those tense first days there bearable and did it without making us feel like we were anything other than a joy to work with (which I'm sure we were not). Gavin's energy and easy-going personality were contagious. You can't help but be positive when he was around. What an awesome addition to Wausau Hospital. Hang onto him!
