My father felt a huge connection with Doss. Doss was my father's nurse on two separate occasions and on both of those occasions my dad was smiling more and felt an overall sense of happiness. My father said that Doss treated him as if he was family. He carried himself with such professionalism, kindness, and consideration. My father would tell us that Doss would take him on walks to the balcony. It was the first time in a week that he had fresh air and he owed it all to Doss. There were times where he felt he would never be able to see the outside, but because Doss took time out of his busy schedule, he was able to enjoy the outdoors for a while.
Thank you Doss for spending quality time with our father and taking him on his walks. Those moments on the balcony meant so much to him. My father stated that he felt hopeful and full of happiness after going on those walks.
Every interaction my father and our family had with Doss felt genuine. He was attentive to my father's needs and concerns. My family also specifically noticed how organized he was and how we always felt welcomed to ask any questions.
My father would like to personally, once again, say "gracias" to Doss for everything he did for him. Our family is eternally grateful to have had such a wonderful nurse tending to our father.
