Darlene was an exceptional nurse and caregiver to my son, D. I feel she went over and above her job. She was such a blessing when I had to leave. I could rest assured that D was in good hands and that he would be taken care of as if I was still there to take care of him myself. That means a lot to a mother, especially because of the disabilities that D has.
I feel that she really is a guardian angel and they are far and few between. I would thank God for her being his chosen nurse as I would have to leave the hospital to care for Ds' son (my grandson) who also lives with me.
God bless you, Darlene. You reminded me so much of my mother who also was a retired nurse here at Winter Haven Hospital. Because she was also exceptional, and everyone loved her too. She also had a loving, kind heart and like Darlene was definitely in the right line of work.
