The medicine they were putting through my IV was excruciating. I was ready to just walk out after asking everyone if there was anything they could do to alleviate the pain. Then, Michelle walks in for the first time this morning. She hooks up the medicine and starts the IV. When she comes back I asked her if she wanted to start it now. She said it's been running. I couldn't believe it! She just hooked it up and ran it with the normal saline solution and saved my walking out of here with staff in my blood and an obstructive clot in my upper arm of my writing hand. I told her she is the walking talking answer to many a desperate prayer in sobbing tears to God and my heroine for the day. She responds with telling me every time she walks in that I am pretty great also and has a new kind and thoughtful compliment with every room visit. What a super nurse. Kind, polite, understanding, humorous, and clearly a good person to have in one's life as a real friend. This hospital and her patients are very lucky and blessed to have her. I am only still here because of her quiet thoughtfulness. And when I told her so, she was almost too humble to accept the praise that she absolutely completely deserves. I will never forget how she saved the day, my arm and possibly my life today and I hope that she will always know what a valuable and amazing nurse, woman and human being that she is. I am beyond grateful to have met and had her as a nurse.
