Our daughter experienced unexpected complications during surgery, leading to her admission to TCU. On our second night, we had concerns and questions we didn't feel the doctor was addressing. Emily did not hesitate to act as an advocate. She handled every concern we threw her way to ensure that our daughter's needs were met, and our concerns were addressed. Without hesitation, she fought for what she knew was right and acted as a sounding board for our frustrations. As a fellow RN in the SSM community, I could not have been more impressed by her tenacity. When my frustration grew to the point of tears and considering a transfer, she alone turned it around. Nurses like her are the reason I remain loyal to Cardinal Glennon for my child's extensive and complex needs. If it were not for Emily's quick and committed actions, it is possible we would have thrown up our hands and left. Because of her, our loyalty to Cardinal Glennon remains. Patient retention and satisfaction are key, and we thank her for having the strength to ensure her patient's needs were addressed.
