A patient shared that she will be starting to use a diabetic pen. She said that she was unable to get the one from the pharmacy to try and use before she was discharged. Her doctor recommended that she YouTube how to use the pen. Her nurse, Larry is also insulin dependent. He went into his bag and grabbed his own insulin pen to show her how to use it. She shared that Larry even wasted some of his own insulin in order to show her how to use the pen. She said that Larry was very reassuring about everything. Larry went above and beyond by showing the patient how to use the diabetic pen with his own equipment.
