Having had over sixteen surgeries in my life, I truly can attest to the importance of employing qualified hospital staff. Nurses are the backbone of any hospital and they know a patient better than anyone else. Martha Bentley-McLachlan is by far the most outstanding medical professional that I have met in the past 70 years. I often tell my friends that Dr. L sits at the right hand of God and Martha sits on his left. She is knowledgeable, organized, tremendously efficient, respectful, compassionate, and exhibits many leadership qualities. Her job is almost insurmountable, but she handles all issues with great aplomb. No amount of thanks is enough for all that she does for her patients, the staff, and the Pain Clinic.
