Anna is one of our Assistant Clinical Managers, she is absolutely amazing and never looks to receive accolades for her hard work. I would like to recognize Anna for her commitment to the Emergency Department.
Last night we had a large influx of patients in the Express Care Area. There were 8 patients with carbon monoxide poisoning, in addition to the other patients already in that area. We were already down 2 RNs, and at eleven o'clock I had to pull the Express Care nurse to B section. Anna stepped up and took over Express Care, not only did she take care of the patients, but she cleaned and made all the beds too. I didn't even have to ask, Anna recognized our team needed help and she did what she could. I know she took a lot of time helping us on the floor and I'm certain she put off her own work to do it.
Anna never has a negative attitude and is a great example of our nursing profession. She often gives to others and is invested in each person and our department. Anna harvests an environment of family and makes me want to be my best. I hope the management team knows how hard Anna works and how much we appreciate her.
