When we delivered our baby girl we had no idea of the complications that she would have. She was sent to Children's right after delivery and diagnosed with an interrupted aortic arch, VSD, and a sternal cleft. We received great care at the NICU, but we had no idea what to expect after her heart surgery.
As first-time parents we were scared to death as she went into surgery. As her successful surgery ended and she was moved to the PICU we were greeted by Charlotte. Charlotte was the first nurse she had after surgery and she immediately comforted us with her skill, professionalism, and diligence of care for C.
She has a natural sense to educate people to help them understand what is going on with their child. We felt safe leaving C in her care, even on bad days. She is a lady who knows what she is doing and it radiates off of her. There is no amount of money that you can pay someone to provide that level of comfort and care to a family during such a hard time.
We are forever in her debt for the number of days we felt comforted by her care of C.
Every single one of C's nurses has extraordinary skills, but I can't imagine another person on earth that I could trust my daughter with as wholeheartedly as Charlotte.
