My husband was brought to Mariners Hospital ER on a Sunday evening around 6 pm. We were in the Keys for a family vacation and my husband fell and injured his knees on the second day. While in the ER, my husband had 5 vasovagal syncope episodes with his heart rate dropping because of pain and fear. It became a scary situation, especially for my children. Christine respectfully approached me and asked permission to explain the situationto my children. She took them to the waiting room to sit with them and explain what was happening and comfort them. Christine also packed me snacks and lunch for the ambulance transfer and provided her contact information if anything was needed locally since I was far away from home.
That night Christine juggled several patients from a multi-car accident as well as my husband, myself and my girls. The comfort Christine provided was incredible. We are fortunate you chose nursing as your profession.
