Two days after having surgery I had to have emergency surgery to stop bleeding. Alicia showed me so much kindness and compassion. I told her I felt like an old lady. Her words were kind and gentle and after talking to her I felt better about myself. She always came right away when I called for her and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed before she left. She has so much kindness and compassion for her patient. She took time out to talk to my daughter when she called and came to visit. Being treated with kindness, dignity and respect when you are at your lowest makes a patient feel better. She was my favorite nurse and I will never forget her or the kindness she showed me at Aurora St. Luke's. She always had a smile on her face and her heart was always kind and gentle. She was my nurse most of my stay there and I appreciated having such a wonderful person taking extra good care of me.

Alicia. She wears her heart on her shoulder. She has so much compassion. She takes the time and listens to your needs and concerns. One night I was very upset crying and Alicia took the time to listen to me, held my hand. She lifted my soul. She cares with so much compassion. She is the best nurse I have ever had. I never had to wait for my meds. If I asked for meds, she would be back with a smile on her face within a minute and talk to me and see how I was. She is an amazing woman and a phenomenal RN. She is a nurse you never want to leave. I can't say enough about what a kindhearted RN she is. She makes St. Luke's a better hospital.
