Philip’s nomination forms from colleagues and family members included comments such as:

Philip was graduated from SUNY-Farmingdale with an Associate’s degree in nursing. He is currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Nursing Education at Mercy College. In addition to his nursing career, Philip teaches music theory to children in local elementary and junior high schools. Born and raised in Woodside, Queens, Philip is the first nurse/health care professional in his family. He resides in Bayside, Queens.
