DAISY Nurse Stacy Martin, a nurse on Meritus Medical Center’s Intermediate Care Unit was nominated by the wife of a recent patient.

Stacy went above and beyond the call of duty recently, when a seriously ill patient came in to the hospital during the week of his planned wedding. Stacy facilitated getting a marriage certificate for the patient and his fiancée, and then pulled together a beautiful wedding celebration that included someone to officiate the service, a photographer, music, guests, a handmade bouquet, and even a special bedazzled “Bride” T-shirt. The family said they can’t thank her enough!

We are very proud of Stacy and how she was able to make a difference in the life of this patient and his family.
