After spending over a month in the hospital, I noticed that nurses showed up because they truly cared about people and truly wanted to be at their job because it was much more than a paycheck to them. With that being said, Adrianna showed me on many occasions how much she cared and how important it was to her to make sure that I was receiving the best care possible.
Of course on the days that she was my nurse, Adrianna would always check up on me in-between scheduled medicine, but the days that she was not my nurse is what really stood out to me the most. Anytime I would pass her walking in the hall, she always stopped and asked how I'm feeling, or if I needed something such as towels or ice. She never had a problem grabbing it even though she wasn't my nurse for that day. These little things were important to me.
On many daysAdrianna would stop by my room if my door was open just to see how I was feeling. I believe that if every nurse would listen to their patients, show that they truly care, and most importantly smile, then the hospital would be better for everyone. Arianna did all of these things and so much more.
