“My brother is currently heavily sedated and on a ventilator along with a multitude of other things connected to him. He has an auto-immune disease: He has been in the hospital before, but never has it been this bad. Along with my brother’s disease, he has been battling a very heart-breaking divorce. Jennifer was so awesome. She explained every medicine and every number. She listened to our concerns and sympathized with us. She was always super willing to answer all of our questions (and we had a LOT.) The thing that sticks out in my mind the very most, however, is that at the end of her shift she stopped in at the waiting room where I was and she was so sweet with nice and encouraging words….not words to give me false hope, just caring words and THEN she gave me a HUG. Even when my mom was in a coma 7 years ago, and we knew we had to have her come off life support, I never got a hug from a nurse! Wow! That is something I will never forget. ”
