I had asked about bathing today. Yelena said she would stop by in the afternoon and get me some help. As schedules will happen, Yelena was only able to stop by at 2:50 pm just before shift change. I told her I could wait until swing shift but she said she had promised to get me help bathing and was determined to do that before she got off work. In short order, Yelena had the bedding changed and helped me clean up. All of this at one of the busiest times; shift change. She was determined to provide the best care and comfort for her patients. Yelena exemplifies professional care and welfare in nursing.
