From the patient: I was in CCU and Ann was my nurse. Although I was a little grouchy, Ann was there at all hours of the calls to attend and care for me. I felt like dying, and being depressed, but Ann made me comfortable and understood me and cared for me above and beyond the call of duty. From the patient’s family: Ann was extraordinary with my mom while she was in CCU. She made sure my mom had everything she needed and more. Ann went above and beyond the call of duty in caring for my mom. When my mom felt like giving up, Ann was there to make her as comfortable as possible. Words really cannot explain all that Ann did for my mom while she was in CCU. Kathy Rodrigue, Critical Care Director: Ann has had a long and varied career as a nurse. Most of her experience was in Behavioral Medicine, and she worked here at GAMC previously in Behavioral Health. Ann also has a background in education and competency development, organizational development and preparing facilities for regulatory surveys. When Ann came back to GAMC in October of 2008, she entered into the critical care arena. She has worked in CCU for the past 3 years. Her manager and colleagues rate her as an excellent nurse. Everyone loves to work with Ann because she is so patient and understanding. She role-models the best methods of handling challenging situations with patients and family members.
