My husband is recovering from complete respiratory failure. Damarie gave excellent, compassionate care. She constantly checked-in and using her excellent communication skills she explained many things to us. The Albuterol breathing treatment allowed him to speak and Damarie took the opportunity to speak with him and see how he’s doing. Damarie spoke so pleasantly and her radiant smile always put him at ease. She took care of his every need, whatever the need was, she did it. Damarie is a role model nurse and an exceptional ICU nurse. She will always be memorable to us. Damarie truly deserves to be praised; she is smart, caring, tender and kind to both patient and the family. She shines a ray of light and seeks the positive in a situation. Damarie stands out above and beyond all other RNs because she relates to the individual separately, giving what is needed at the time of care.

Damarie meets all areas of recognition in Quality, Service and Efficiency. She adjusts herself to provide the care to her many patients even if it’s just a simple smile that’s needed to lift up spirits. She is a leader/a role model. I feel other nurses should learn from her TLC, care and her character. She is a nurse that gives and provides care to her patients in physical, mental and emotional support to all. Damarie stands out; she is one in a million, unforgettable in every way.
