I have custody of my twin 3 year old grandsons. We have been coming to MCV’s 7E Peds Unit since they were born due to sickle cell disease. Andrea Chambliss has been their nurse since that time. She has always given my boys and me excellent care. She remembers their nicknames, where the best place to get an IV flowing, she respects our feelings and always gives us a sense of “home” away from home. I can say for certain there has never been a time that was unpleasant with her. When I see Ms. Chambliss I get a sense of relief, no matter what is going on with my child. I know without a shadow of doubt she will do her best for them. She has proven herself to be the best of the best of nurses. I trust her with my child.
