Rusty is an excellent clinician and very much a team player with a positive attitude. He is truly a great asset to our department. Rusty often acts as an interpreter in our department which at times can be difficult when he is trying to manage his own patients in our busy department. Last month a Spanish speaking family came in seeking assistance with a feeding pump that was given to them for their special needs child. The pump was given to them by another hospital, but very little education was provided and the family was having problems operating the equipment. The child was not a patient in our facility. They just needed education, so Rusty took the family in the consultation room and spent about an hour educating the family in Spanish on how to use the new equipment.
