Cheryl Gnesda, RN on SJMOH-Oakland’s 6 Tower Surgical/Oncology Unit, was nominated for a DAISY Award by one of her patients, for taking the time to give some extra TLC to a lonely patient. This patient was grateful for Cheryl’s kindness and shared,

“Cheryl is the best nurse (by far) that I’ve had here since my six days here. She has such a big heart and always a smile on her face. I haven’t really had any visitors but I know when Cheryl works I’ll have great company. She even does little things like bring me books from her home to keep me company. I’m so grateful to have her as my nurse. This is what all nurses should be like! She deserves a DAISY Award and so much more! Thank you Cheryl for being you!”
