I nominate an angel of healthcare, Debbie Brian-Taft, RN in the PACU for the DAISY Award. I want to express my gratitude to her and to you for the outstanding care Debbie gave me during my gallbladder surgery.
When I woke up from my surgery, Debbie was the first person I saw. She was so gentle and caring. Debbie has a true love for her patients, her job and her coworkers. Debbie never made me feel like I was just another patient. Instead, she made me feel like I was the most important thing for her that day. She never lost focus on my care which is critical to the success of my healing as a patient. I watched how she interacted with her team and she is a true leader. Her coworkers respect her and she is highly skilled. Debbie’s ability to provide highly skilled, safe and quality care for her patients is something that you should be very proud of. Her professional and ethical commitment to deliver essential health care is simply superb.
Debbie is truly an inspiration to her patients and teammates. She serves as a living example of dedication and commitment to true patient advocacy. Her ability to deliver personalized care to all patients and in all circumstances, and enabling others to do the same. She serves as an important reminder that patient care is about the people first their whole being, life, lifestyle and life circumstances.
