Theresa serves as one of our transport nurses and ECMO specialists, and as such she has to maintain an extra level of independence, flexibility, and preparedness for the unknown. She is ALWAYS hard working, compassionate and a COMPLETE team player. A perfect example is that in one shift with me she had to go outside the hospital and help code an infant. Even though the outside ED couldn't get the patient stable enough for transport, Theresa helped throughout the code and even helped the ED physician talk with the family. On return to our PICU, she jumped straight into another code and stayed HOURS after her shift ended to help support the team and her colleagues. She is a complete joy with which to work and I CANNOT imagine a better human, Christian, and nurse more deserving of recommendation.
