Our Campus is proud to announce Miao Tian, RN, in the cardiovascular intensive care unit, as recipient of the DAISY Award, which recognizes one nurse each month for going above and beyond to deliver exceptional patient care. The designation, presented in collaboration with The American Organization of Nurse Executives, is part of the DAISY Foundation’s national program to recognize nurses who serve as role models to colleagues throughout the profession.

“I’m completely surprised and excited to be named as a DAISY Award recipient!” said Tian. “My top priority is providing great, quality care and ensuring that all of the patients’ needs are met.”

Tian was nominated twice this past month, and is highly regarded in the unit for her contagious spirit and positive work ethic. A former patient’s wife wrote, “While my husband was in the hospital after heart surgery, Miao was his caregiver – excellent provider, excellent compassion and a true heart. She was wonderful to see.”

The second nomination also came from a patient’s wife who wrote, “My husband was in critical condition after his heart surgery. He had many complications. Miao was extremely attentive all day to his every need. She worked with the doctors to help him make it through the day. Absolutely remarkable care given by Miao!”
