Michelle is a very considerate and caring nurse who cares for her patients with respect. In addition to her caring attributes, she supports her colleagues with her expertise providing assistance when needed. She makes herself available for her patient care on her days off or when short staffed. She continues to support her colleagues in meeting their CME as she organizes education days and provides speakers relevant to unit needs on 8 North. Her commitment to outstanding patient care is clear in her efforts to be sure we maintain excellence in nursing skills.
We appreciate all that Michelle does in “wearing many hats” very well. She takes extra time to listen to patients and to staff. Michelle’s proactive approach with our high acuity patients literally keeps our patients alive, particularly as it applies to the rapid response Michelle once called.
She is a fabulous mentor/preceptor to new nurses. She allows them to practice their skills and try new things but also gives guidance when needed. She models compassionate and competent care.
