My aunt is mentally challenged and was very sick in the ICU. When she is sick, in pain or afraid, she grits her teeth and is very agitated. She had to have multiple uncomfortable and painful things that evening but Amanda Tromley, along with a PCA from the neuro unit, were both amazing with my aunt. They took extra time with her, spoke to her very gently and provided her with great comfort. They also supported me and provided me comfort even though I didn't ask.
I am a physician in another hospital system and was very impressed with how diligent, caring, patient and supportive they both were. Amanda also took the time to keep me informed throughout the entire process. One of the best nurses I have ever seen.
