I nominate Sally Brauer for the DAISY Award. She truly has gone above and beyond in our time of need, while we are trying to fill the team leader position. She has been extremely helpful, supportive, and professional to the monitor techs as we try to figure out the new system that is going “house wide”. As a CSN, she is always willing to help during busy times so that the staff doesn’t get too far behind. Sally always has a great attitude and anyone can clearly see that she is an amazing patient advocate. We thank her for all she does, and for stepping up willingly in our time of need.

Sally is a wealth of information to all nurses old and new. She is always willing to go out of her way to help you find what you need, if she can’t she will find someone that can. She always is a positive attitude on life and work. She encourages everyone to do their best.

Sally has helped me develop as a nurse from the moment I stepped on the floor. She consistently encourages all new nurses and teaches me something everyday. I could only hope to become half the nurse she is.

Sally encouraged me to seek out the opportunity to develop as a professional and assisted with training. She has a wonderful listening ear and heart. Working with her allows you to become a better professional.

Sally is very knowledgeable and helpful. When she is working she can keep the floor smooth even when staff members are stressed. She is approachable at anytime. She is prompt with answers to questions. I appreciate her unbiased professional conduct with all personnel.

Sally is a kind and generous person, she is always helpful.

Sally has exemplified the best of nursing and management for SSM and 4 East. She has undertaken the project of transitioning the monitor tech station and computer stations for the doctors. And so much more that goes on behind closed doors. As Sally sets examples for us all the time again, I look forward to her being the example that the DAISY Award recognizes.

Sally has been the rock on 4 East. She always keeps patients first and shows the staff best ways to deliver care with compassion.

Sally has become the backbone of 4 east. Sally is very compassionate for the care of others. She pours her heart into her job. She loves what she does, and has the ability to help each one of us grow as individuals and professionals. Sally is a tower of knowledge and strength. If you’re struggling she takes you under her wing and helps you through your rough time. She’s not only a good example of a leader and perfect candidate for the DAISY Award but she’s a trust worthy friend.

Sally is not only an amazing example of a nurse, she is an amazing person. I am honored to call her my mentor and friend.

Sally always gives valuable information about patient care and polices and procedures. She really cares about our staff and wants the unit to excel.
