Izetta has helped me to recover from my eating disorder by constantly encouraging me. A week ago when I arrived at CHOP I was terrified. She made me feel safe and helped me to trust the rest of my treatment team. Since working with her I've begun to believe recovery is possible. Before Izetta's help and encouragement I didn't believe I could recover, I felt trapped by my eating disorder. Her support has helped me realize that I do not have to live the rest of my life in fear. Izetta is brave, she shared some of her own story with me. Her story helped me realize that you can't control what happens to you, but you can control how you respond, you can choose to fight and you can seek help. Izetta is not only brave, encouraging and incredibly compassionate, but she also inspires her patients to face the struggles life presents with the same courage and grace she has.
