I am an employee here and have worked here for over 11 years. I have had the opportunity to work on the floors and see numerous nurses working, but seeing them doing their jobs becomes so much more meaningful when it is one of our family members that is the patient.
Shelley Culp made it a point to be in the room with us when the Dr. was answering some very tough questions that I had to askā¦..my mother was terminal. At one point I was starting to cry and I looked over at Shelley and she had tears in her eyes too.
I work on Transitional Care and Acute Rehab and on several occasions with other patients I have seen the same from Shelley. I have never seen her angry or lose her cool, even with the mean patients who are not happy. I could not think of a better nurse who deserves this recognition.
