Today was a very interesting day, to say the least. My roommate, C, is very sick and he needed a lot of special care throughout the whole day. Missy has worked very hard all day helping C work through the operation on his hand which was to alleviate a great amount of pus. Throughout the day it was discovered that he has other areas and that every time they try to help move or do anything he just cries out. These nurses just show him so much love and kindness it is unbelievable.
As I watched all this happen I began to understand that there are people in this world who know how to give love unconditionally and those are the nurses at McLaren Hospital. As for myself, I did my very best to ask for as little as possible but yet I seemed to get everything I needed and was taken care of better than I could ever ask for. My shoulder has an infection that goes all the way to the bone and it looks like I'm going to be on home IV antibiotics. It's my true belief that Missy needs some special recognition - something so that she is recognized for the greatness and goodness and love that she shows everybody she comes in contact with. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
