Kathy Davidson has provided care for my Mother for over five years. Recently after my Mother was rushed to the hospital from Chesapeake in a grave condition, Kathy took the time to ensure my family had everything we needed while my Mother was hospitalized. Because my Mother is unable to verbalize due to her illness, Kathy knew it was vital to keep the lines of communication open between the long-term care staff and the hospital to ensure continuity of care.
Every time I called Kathy to request medical information that could help the doctors evaluate my Mom's rapid and sudden decline, she stopped what she was doing to get that info to the hospital staff. She made sure she reached out to me and my family to show compassion during this difficult time. Kathy called me as soon as my mom returned to the facility. Knowing you can trust the staff to care for your loved one as their own family member is vital when your loved one is living with a terminal illness. Kathy's personal touch to see every patient as a person and provide them with love, compassion and bring a smile to their face are some of the things I admire most about this exceptional nurse.
