It has been more than 2 months since the birth of our little girl but I still remember it like yesterday. We had such a wonderful delivery nurse, Carrie Harstad. She was so caring, compassionate and most of all knowledgeable. She made us feel like family and always made sure we were taken care of. She didn't hesitate to explain why she was doing what she was doing and kept us in a positive mood even when my wife and I were nervous. She always knew what to say and how to make us feel good. I am blown away by the kindness we received with Carrie and the rest of the staff. I really think she needs to be recognized for her outstanding customer service, level of competency and her ability to make everyone around her smile. I would like to recognize Carrie for the "DAISY" Award for everything she has done for our family! From the bottom of our family's heart, we thank Carrie and the rest of the team at JMC and will be back for another delivery here thanks to such an amazing experience!

It is my understanding that this award is generally earned by a nurse who displays "super-human" efforts in providing care for their patients. Without hesitation, I can say that Ms. Harstad exemplifies this award's criteria. I had the pleasure of meeting Carrie during my stay as a C-Section patient in August; she provided such considerate and comprehensive care as my labor nurse. During my labor she was calm, and because she was so informing, I felt I could let go of stress.
Carrie is thorough in an age of speed and mechanics, this quality is rare and should - must! - be celebrated. She deserves applause and award for her years of personal and professional dedication.
