...Morgan came to the front lobby and greeted my husband Mike and me with a warm and generous smile. She talked to us all the way down to Day Surgery like we were old friends. She showed us to my room, explaining everything as we went. After I was in my gown, she came in to start the IV. It was painless. Again she was explaining everything. Morgan explained to Mike what was going to happen and assured him that she would show him where he could wait instead of just saying,"follow the signs." She kept us updated on the time line with the doctor and everyone that was going to be helping along the way. After surgery, she was right there, assuring me of the next steps. She wheeled us out and took the time that both Mike and I needed to feel comfortable. With nurses like Morgan, I would rate WVMC with a 10+. She exemplifies the "patient first" philosophy of the hospital. She went above and beyond to be helpful, pleasant, and set an example that everyone should be proud to follow.
