We had a patient come into the ER with chest discomfort and the physician wanted to cath her urgently, as soon as possible. The patient was extremely nervous and anxious about the procedure as she had not even gone to her room but came straight to the Cath Lab. The patient began asking if somebody would pray a traditional Catholic Prayer with her. Ruben looked up the prayer on the internet and stayed with her and prayed with her. The patient was so grateful and her anxiety was reduced because of Ruben's actions. Ruben consistently is recognized by our patients for going above and beyond.
