... I have been a patient on 2S for over a week and Ariel has been my night nurse for most of that time. When she came into my room she took the time to explain what she was doing. She would follow through with dressing changes. She would take the time to gently remove my bandages, not rip them off like others have. When she said she would be back to check on me she actually came back in a timely manner. She took my questions and concerns seriously and to heart. Her tone of voice was comforting, she would always come down to eye level not look over me, and she would sit on the bed and talk to me. That really made me feel comfortable and I felt important to her. Ariel took the time to teach. She would reassure me of what was happening next. She was always quiet when coming into my room.. She is a very special nurse and I am very glad to have had her as my night nurse.
