Kara is one of those rare individuals who exudes empathy, love and support for those in her care and extends that same level of support to the family of her patients.

Our 91 year old mom was admitted to Bayshore after suffering a broken hip due to a fall. She had surgery two days later with a very high risk of not surviving. She proved the doctors wrong but had and continues to have a tough battle to fight. Kara stepped in, took charge and made sure all her needs were met without delay. When she was in great pain Kara was there to comfort. When she was hallucinating and very anxious, Kara was there. When she was unable to reach her primary doctor in a timely matter, Kara called her other doctor to get the job done.

After being transferred to the rehab unit, she continued to care by speaking to us as we stepped off the elevator and always asked about updates on mom. She listened to every word, offering hope and encouragement.

Kara is truly a special angel placed here on this earth to serve others and support families through difficult times. May God bless her as she continues to go above and beyond in her chosen profession.
