There is no one more thoughtful and caring nurse than Marcy Sheffield. Her initial act of thoughtfulness was apparent when she suggested we implement a secret santa program amongst the Inpatient Services stakeholders. Her purpose for this program was to assist in boosting morale and camaraderie. The stakeholders that participated felt appreciated and thrilled to know they were thought about by a fellow colleague.
Marcy took her thoughtfulness to a whole other level when she initiated the Inpatient Christmas Campaign to make gift baskets for our hospitalized patients on our inpatient units. This was further extended to our Infusion patients as well. It was through her initiative that our CTCA family united and the outpouring of love and thoughtfulness radiated. It became apparent to our hospitalized patients that they were among family on Christmas morning although they were not in their home setting. The look on their faces was priceless. Each patient received a basket of goodies and warm greetings from Santa's elves. Positivity and the holiday spirit were truly contagious because of Marcy's efforts.
