I was transferred to Kaiser. I was alone, tired and scared. Almaz was my intake nurse. I was very anxious. Almaz has such a calming presence and put all my fears to rest. She kept me informed of everything that was going to happen. She knew I was starving and had room service ready to go as soon as the Dr. gave approval. The air conditioner in the room only went down to 70 degrees and I was extremely hot and sweaty. Almaz contacted the engineer to have the settings lowered. I was moved to another room a few hours later and she had the A/C lowered in that room before I moved. Almaz was also my nurse on my second day here. Almaz tended to all of my needs - physically and emotionally. She gave words of encouragement and reminded me not to be embarrassed when I needed her help with changing clothes items with the bed etc. Almaz made a point of meeting my family and giving them encouragement and letting them know how much better I was doing. She expressed this several times to my daughter after I told her how worried she was.
Almaz caring and compassionate professionalism was a great help to me. To be taken care of by someone that really cares is an amazing thing. She went above and beyond and you can tell this is more than just a job for her - this is her calling. Almaz is amazing and I appreciate everything she did for me.
