During my son's critical and terminal admit to GMU, Sadie, RN was instrumental to my son's emotional as well as physical health. Being that they were roughly the same age, she treated Harrison like a person, and not just another cancer patient. It turned out that they knew several people in common. Harrison flirted tirelessly with Sadie, even when the decision for him to be on hospice was made. It helped him feel like a 22 year old guy and not someone who was dying. Sadie even switched shifts so she could keep continued care for Harrison, which was so appreciated. She helped comfort me when I was in disbelief that my son was dying, but gave me strength & confidence that I could care for him at home. Sadie was a true blessing at a time when hope was getting lost. We will NEVER forget her confidence and caring attitude throughout Harrison's hospital stay.
