I am not writing this as the IAC RN with US Acute Care working at MSMC but, as a recent patient at your facility. In my hurried exit upon discharge, I left my prescriptions behind, one of which was pain medication. Upon returning to my home which is relatively far from the hospital, I called Dawn and asked if I left my prescriptions and she said yes.
After working 12-hours, Dawn drove to the pharmacy by my house and dropped them off to be filled so I would have them and not be in pain. The beauty of this all is, I have observed Dawn to be this type of nurse to all her patients. She truly went above and beyond for me. She consistently displays this compassion for her patients.
