My husband's heart quit beating and he flat lined. They did CPR, brought him back to life and put him on a ventilator. I didn't understand any of this. Jonathan took the time to explain it all to me in terms that I could understand. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to relate to others without a medical background. He is very compassionate. Even though my husband was unconscious, Jonathan talked to my husband as if he was awake and alert. This speaks volumes about this nurse's respect and empathy for his patients. He also extended the same courtesy to me by keeping me informed of everything that was happening as he was caring for my husband. Nurse Jonathan was constantly attending to my husband and making sure he was comfortable and cared for.
They woke him up for a few minutes to see how and if he could breathe off the ventilator. Jonathan allowed me to see my husband and squeeze his hand. He believes in the power of family as part of the healing process. I am thankful that Jonathan took good care of my husband the way he did. My husband has been in the hospital many times and has had good care from all of his nurses, but Jonathan holds a special place in my husband's heart. We hold him in high regard and are blessed to have him as my husband's nurse. He deserves recognition for this. We thank Jonathan for taking care of my husband.
